Manthra meets Dasharath's second wife Kaikeyi who is the mother of Rama's brother Bharat. Everyone is happy for Rama to be king apart from a maid called Manthra. He announces Rama to be the king which Rama gladly accepts. King Dasharath then gives an announcement that he wants to step down from the throne. The exile of Rama Īfter many years, Rama grows older. They get married and along with them, Lord Rama's three younger brothers, as well as Sita's three younger sisters get married to each other. After everyone fails to lift the bow, Rama steps up and lifts the bow, even breaking it in the process. Rama and Sita fall in love at first sight. To win her hand in marriage, the participants (kings and lords) must lift up the divine bow of Lord ParshuRam, gifted to Sita, which only a humble, compassionate, and strong human can lift. The three head to the kingdom of Mithila where a "Swayamvar" is being held for the marriage of the beautiful princess Sita. Maricha escapes and promises to seek revenge. Lakshman kills some of the other demons along with Rama. He breathes fire on Rama who is forced to shield himself. While practicing with their weapons, Tadaka's son Maricha seeks revenge on Rama and attacks him. Impressed and grateful for their help, Lord Rama and Lakshman are awarded divine weapons by sage Vishwamitra. Tataka mercilessly kills anyone in her way and attacks the brothers but Rama shoots her with an enchanted arrow and the demon dies. The Sage teaches the brothers chants and methods to kill the demon leader- Tataka. The Sage takes the brothers to the demon-infested forest where a giant demon called Tatakha has been leading the demon attacks. However, Rama, along with his brother Lakshman, steps up gracefully and accepts the sage's request. Dasharath however, rejects the plea, fearing the life of young Rama. Vishwamitra seeks the King and requests Rama's aid. Ayodhya is a rich and beautiful kingdom ruled by a powerful king called Dasharath. The Gods answer and instruct Vishwamitra to seek the young Prince of Ayodhya- Lord Rama- a noble and strong fighter. One powerful sage Vishwamitra, who has been blessed with divine weapons, is unable to defeat them all alone.
